At the invitation of the authorities, the purpose of the visit is to assess the state of development and of progress of the politic of Asylum in the Kingdom of Morocco. The UNHCR has inaugurated a regional Atelier, together with the CNDH; it has also met the several ministries and officials committed to the issues that concern the UNHCR.

Furthermore the UNHCR visited the partners that set their work up together with them, such as the Fondation Orient-Occident. This visit led to the organization of a seminar discussion regarding the situation of refugees in Morocco, with the relative challenges and opportunities.

The visit was also organized with the purpose of meeting and debating with the refugees, in order to acknowledge their situation, their lived experience, the challenges and difficulties that they face in their struggle for integration, their future perspectives…

Eventually, the UNHCR also provides the équipe with a professional training, organized throughout 4 days.
