The highlights of October and November at the Fondation Orient-Occident

  • Program OIM National 
    From August, the Foundation started in partnership with the IOM the project “OIM National” that will last until the end of December. The project provides for the continuation of the action of the SOS Migrants platform throughout Morocco (cities of Rabat, Casablanca, Tangier, Oujda, Fez, Meknes, Kénitra, Marrakech and regions), with food assistance, distribution of medicines, social and psychological support, housing assistance for migrants and Moroccans. 

  •  Radio
    The Radio of the Fondation Orient-Occident continued to entertain the community with fun and cultural broadcasts, animated debates by speakers invited to discuss specific issues. The Radio also offers live broadcasts of sports, dance, theater.
  • Educational activities
    Through its centers, the Foundation offers language courses for children and adults, professional training courses, and academic support for minors. The activities are both face-to-face and online.
  • Field visits in the village of Dcheir
    The Foundation team visited the village of Dcheir in the province of Larache to plan a new community development project that will soon begin in partnership with the French Embassy.
  • Activities related to the International Day of Tolerance – November 16 – The Foundation organized workshops for the youth to raise awareness of the challenges of the cultural and social integration of refugees in Morocco.
  • On the occasion of the International Children’s Day – November 20 – the writer Hicham Houdaifa was invited to F Radio (the Radio of the Fondation Orient-Occident) in Rabat to present his book entitled “Enfance au Maroc”.
  • 25 November – International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign begins. The Foundation organized awareness-raising activities for the benefit of refugee, migrant and Moroccan women.
  • Program “Jeunesse tolérante” – The Foundation has organized awareness-raising activities for the benefit of young people in Casablanca, on the themes of tolerance and living together, within the framework of the “Jeunesse tolérante” project in partnership with the CIDEAL Foundation.
  • The Foundation did a follow-up visit to minors registered by the Foundation at the “Centre Mohammed V de la deuxième chance nouvelle génération”.

  • We have organized prevention and screening actions against Coronavirus and other diseases.
